About Us
Zelly's honors small businesses and families everywhere. It represents strength, unity, family values and perseverance. It all started during the Covid shutdown. My family and I were in the same boat as many Americans at the time. We were already barely making ends meet and then Covid hit. It went from bad to worse very quickly. I was furloughed, my wife had just completed her Master's and Credential in teaching and quickly learned that schools were not hiring but scaling back. We were staring hard times straight in the face and we needed to do something fast. We ended up losing a car and having to sell our home just to keep our heads above water. In the midst of all of this, I decided that I was never going to put my family's life and well being in someone else's hands again. I knew that I needed to make a change. I needed to do something that made sense. Something that made people happy, something that allowed me to have more time with my family, something that gave me freedoms and something that made me happy. Being something of a chef myself, I always wanted to create something with food. Everyone loves food, everyone loves sweets, everyone loves Kettle Corn. This is when I decided to start Zelly's Country Kettle Corn.
After careful deliberation and weeks of research, my decision came down to one thing . . . . . Family. It was my family that inspired Zelly's. I was a father and a husband. My family depended on me. Which is how we came up with the name. It's named after my two beautiful daughters, Zoey and Elly, who at the time were 9 and 5. Zoey and Elly are my true inspirations and loves of my life. I dedicate this business to you, my beautiful angels, and thank God for you choosing me as your Dad everyday. My greatest inspiration and true partner is my wonderful wife, Mandy, who stuck with me all these years through thick and thin, good and bad. You are the most amazing woman, wife, mother and professional. I love you.
